If I want to run for municipal office, what is the time period for qualifications?

Candidates may begin qualifying once notice of election is published, which is the first Tuesday in July. Qualification period for the 2020 Municipal Election is July 7, 2020 through July 21, 2020.  For more information regarding qualifications, see the Code of Alabama, 1975, Section 11-46-22(a) and 11-46-25(g) or contact the Daphne City Clerk’s Office at 251-620-1100. The qualifying period for candidates runs for 15 days.
