Responsibilities & Services

The City of Daphne Building Inspection Department is responsible for issuing building permits and performing inspections on all building components, such as:

  • Electrical
  • Life Safety
  • Mechanical
  • Plumbing
  • Structural
  • Well
  • Fuel Gas

Email all inspection requests to buildinginspections@daphneal.com. Please include any specific inspection details. Inspection request received by noon will be scheduled for the following business day. Please specify in the email request if a later date is required.

The City of Daphne encourages residents to become more knowledgeable of flood risks by using the Reduce Flood Risk website. Developed by the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM) with financial support from FEMA, this interactive website demystifies flood mitigation and empowers people to protect themselves and their most valuable assets.

Notice Re: FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps

New FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps are becoming effective in April 2019.  To find out if you are being impacted by these changes, please contact City of Daphne Building Inspection Department to speak with one of our Certified Floodplain Managers or view the updated maps here.
